The book "La scultrice" by Minette Walters is published by Sperling & Kupfer. The synopsis describes journalist Rosalind Leigh tasked with writing a report on Olive Martin, a young woman sentenced to 27 years in prison for murdering her mother and sister. Olive, nicknamed "the sculptor" for her obsession with creating wax statues, is initially seen as a diabolical and repugnant figure, but Rosalind discovers a more complex personality through her conversations with her. The book is available on AbeBooks and Amazon Italy, and its Goodreads synopsis highlights the protagonist's struggle with personal emotional damage while uncovering discrepancies in Olive's case, ultimately revealing a miscarriage of justice.
